MVS: Cap America v.s Terry

Cool! Now that thats outta the way. Onto the deviation at hand:

Setup:
A KOF tournament is being held in New York. Contestants from all over the world are coming to prove their strengths. Old faces return to show their power and to defeat new evils.

But New York has its own line of heroes. Some who are skeptical of this new event. Others welcome it to see powerful individuals in action. Some don't really care.

But whatever the case, one thing is certain. These individuals from both universes will eventually collide. And when they do, the results will be.........very interesting.

About the Combatants:
So with Kyo and Spidey outta the way, what other big KOF names come to mind. Thats a no brainer too: Terry Bogard, the original King of Fighters champion. And Terry Bogard's an American who speaks English with Japanese accent, btw. So who to pit KOF's all American hero against from the Marvel Universe? Gee, how many no brainers do we have here?
An all American, all manly, Star Spangled leader of the Avengers, ofcourse!
So without further ado, here it is!
The Legendary Wild Wolf: Terry Bogard V.S The Star Spangled Avenger: Captain America

Story:
A day off is a rare thing in an Avenger's life. Steve Rogers (aka Captain America) could hardly believe he was out in the sun in the midst of a quiet and peaceful neighborhood in Queens. Although this was a shopping area the people were quietly moving about their business, everyone obviously enjoying the serene atmosphere. Steve stopped by an ice cream cart and ordered a cone, still not believing he was having an ice cream rather than dodging a hail of bullets. As the Ice cream seller set about to prepare him a large strawberry/Vanilla special, Steve turned his eyes skyward and breathed in a gush of fresh air. The sky was pure blue and white clouds drifted occassionally in front of the sun. Blue birds were chirping on the top of the ice cream cart's umbrella and voices from the passing by people was a hushed drone.
Yes. Everything was perfect, Steve thought as he closed his eyes.
BOOM!
An earth shattering noise sounded in the neighborhood, taking away any semblance of peace that was to be found a second ago. People's voices raised several notches. There were panicked screams of surprise and horror. People began runing away from the direction from which the noise had sounded. For Captain America though, there was no running away.
As soon as he heard it, Steve Rogers began dashing in the direction of the sound, all thoughts of ice cream and a day off forgotten. The patriot inside him had awakened, ready to fight and to die for the people and the country he loved. His shirt came off to reveal a star spangled uniform and his car's back seat slid open into two to reveal a shining blue and red shield. Armed with his courage and his trademark weapon, Captain America set forth into the alley from where the sounds of a fight could be heard.
As soon as he entered it, a flashing wave of energy met his eyes followed by several armed men who flew into the air and landed near Captain America's feet. Cap momentarily looked at the armed men who had fallen unconcious and then turned his attention towards their attacker, a red capped young man with blond hair standing in the midst of a crater that his energy wave had created. Terry's eyes meet the Captain's and they both recognize the other as a powerful opponent. Seeing as how the men Terry had knocked out were S.H.I.E.L.D agents, Captain America mistakes Terry as a threat and instantly launches an attack on the young man.
Terry in turn mistakes Captain America as the S.H.I.E.L.D agent's backup and responds in kind. The battle begins!

Some bits about the deviation:
I'll admit I had fun with this one! Not only did I enjoy making Terry (my most used KOF character) doing a Burn Knuckle, I really enjoyed painting his avatar too: A bloodthirsty wolf.
Similarly this was my first time drawing Captain America and I figured I should stick to his armoured soldier feel rather than his classic costume because, well...This costume just plain ROCKS!
So thats it! Really would appreciate critical and fan feedback on this! I also need more ideas for further match ups. Your suggestions are welcome and appreciated! Think this would make a good game? Think otherwise? Do tell! And keep on the lookout for more Marvel Vs SNK!
